How To Make Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Striped Marshmallows

Recipes

chocolate covered peanut butter striped marshmallows

Today I’m going to introduce you to an easy yummy treat that combines marshmallows, chocolate, peanut butter and graham crackers.  It’s super easy to make but does require melting the chocolate so you’ll need to use whatever melting method you prefer.  I use a store – bought melter but you can use what works best for you.

Years ago when I made and sold crafts I’d go to different local craft shows.  There were two ladies that would also do these shows and they were known as the candy ladies.  They had so many delicious homemade goodies.  My favorite was a chocolate covered homemade marshmallow around a layer of peanut butter.  They were so good.  Well I no longer do craft shows and haven’t seen those ladies in years so I decided to make my own marshmallow treats.

If you don’t want to read the rest of the post and want to get right to the nitty-gritty, here’s the video:

You’ll need marshmallows (I used the campfire marshmallows in the video but will be using regular sized ones in the future.  The campfire ones were HUGE!), 1 cup of creamy peanut butter, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1/3 cup crushed honey graham crackers (about 5 full-sized crackers) and melting chocolate.

Directions:

1) In a mixing bowl, combine sugar and crushed graham crackers.  Mix well.  Add the peanut butter and stir until everything is well combined.  Mixture may have small lumps and bumps but that’s fine.

2) Using a knife, cut each marshmallow in half so you have two discs.  Spread a layer of the peanut butter mixture over one disc and top with the other forming a sandwich.  Set aside and repeat until you have as many marshmallow treats as you want.

3) Dip each marshmallow sandwich into your melted chocolate and coat evenly.  Remove from chocolate and set on a wax paper covered pan.  Set in the refrigerator to harden.

You really can’t get much easier than that!  Let me know if you make these and how they turn out.
