Here are my top five Faves of 2020:

  1. Profoot® Heel Rescue Superior Moisturizing Foot Cream
  2. BIC® Gel-ocity Pens
  3. Sonoma Goods for Life® Midrise Leggings
  4. Old Navy Face Masks
  5. Sexy Hair Root Pump

It’s that time of year when I get to list my very favorite things of the year. 2020 has been many things but the word favorite hasn’t been used to describe anything about it.At least I’ve had some pretty cool items on my monthly lists. Here are my five Faves from 2020…

Profoot Heel Rescue®

The weather is getting colder and drier. Along with the extra hand washing and hand sanitizer usage, my first fave is a MUST right now. Profoot Heel Rescue Superior Moisturizing Foot Cream has been a lifesaver for not only my heels but my daughter’s hands!

This pump-dispensed cream may be light and non-greasy but the formula packs a mean punch. My daughter’s hands were in horrible shape last year. They were in possibly the worst condition they’ve ever been in until she started using the Profoot Moisturizer.

After trying a ton of different products she applied Coconut Oil and Profoot to her red, cracked hands and the transformation began overnight. Within two weeks her hands were healed and healthy looking again. That experience really made me a believer in this product. I love that this cream not only works miracles on dry, ugly heels and feet but will also save your hands from Winter’s harsh effects. Read more about this fave here.

Bic® Gel-ocity Pens

My second fave is a non-essential but still a much-loved fave. Bic Gel-ocity Pens are one of the best gel pens on the market. I’m a pen addict and this pen makes my pen-loving self happy.

Wanna know what makes this Gel-ocity Pen so great? Well, for starters the gel ink is so smoooooth. The point glides across paper and never skips or sputters like regular ball point pens. And it’s fast drying which lefties will appreciate. Gel-ocity also has a nice grip and has never popped apart, which has happened with my other favorite pens.

Lastly, you can pick up Bic Gel-ocity Pens just about anywhere. And they come in a variety of gorgeous colors as well as two different point sizes (Gel-ocity Stic Pen)!

Sonoma Goods for Life® Midrise Leggings

My third fave is a must-have clothing item. These Sonoma Leggings are my favorite leggings hands down. As a matter of fact, I just bought two more pairs last week!

I don’t know about you but leggings are one of my wardrobe staples. Whether I’m going out in boots and a sweater or hanging out on the couch in a sweatshirt and fuzzy socks, these leggings go with everything.

three pairs of leggings

For those of you wondering why these are so special, let me tell you. They…

  • are not see-thru
  • wash, dry and wear well
  • come in lots of patterns, colors and sizes (though they may have to be ordered)
  • have the most perfect waistband and hit at the perfect spot. Not too high and not too low.
  • and did I mention they are not see-thru? Haha, I know I did but that is so important to those of us who want to wear leggings in public!

My only advice – never pay full price as they are almost always on sale and buy more than one pair. You’re gonna want to wear them everyday!

Old Navy Face Masks

My fourth fave is an essential item right now. I certainly hope you’re doing your part in helping to stop the spread of Covid19. Wearing a mask is the easiest way to do that. My favorite masks are from Old Navy. I now own at least 20 of these triple-layered masks.

What makes these masks so great is that they are one of the most comfortable masks readily available to anyone, they are reusable and they’re relatively inexpensive. As I stated above, these masks are triple-layered but that doesn’t mean they’re hot. I find them pretty easy to wear over my seven-hour workday. You feel protected but not suffocated. They wash up very well and can even survive the drier. You can purchase a five-pack for $12.50 or a ten-pack for $25.00 at oldnavy.com. That’s not bad considering the fact that they are reusable.

And they come in tons of different colors and patterns! I love being able to match my mask to my outfit. The original masks did not have ear loop adjusters but the newer ones do. While I like the new ones, sometimes I’m not a huge fan of the adjusters. I actually prefer the old style. My hubby doesn’t mind the adjusters and likes the new style. Either way they are still the best masks I’ve tried.

Sexy Hair Root Pump

My fifth and final fave is Sexy Hair’s Root Pump. This stuff is the real deal! If you’ve followed any of my previous First Friday Fave posts, you know that I have a thing for volumizing hair products. Well, this is absolutely one of my very favorites out of all of them. It’s definitely more expensive than most of the other hair products on my lists but it is so worth the cost.

I love how easy it is to use this spray mousse. There’s no gunky, clogged dispenser and sticky hands to deal with. You simply shake the can and spray the mousse onto your roots. I do rub it into my roots though to disperse it evenly. Dry your hair with your blow dryer and BOOM!, you have volume. If you are looking for a product that doesn’t build up on your hair but gives you lift and volume, you have to give Root Pump a try.

All good things must come to an end

I hope you enjoyed this list of Faves from 2020. I have enjoyed sharing these Faves and so many others over the past two years. Unfortunately the time has come to retire my monthly Faves postings. I have shared so many of my favorite things and feel that it’s getting more and more difficult to find new Faves to share with you all. Because of this I will not be posting any new monthly lists. I may post lists throughout the year, though because I still want to share things that I absolutely love with my you, my readers.

Have you ever gone to the dermatologist to have a Have you ever gone to the dermatologist to have a full body skin cancer screening? A few years ago I had a suspicious spot on my hip removed. Luckily, it was not skin cancer. My dad had a cancerous mole removed years ago so now I get a screening every year and just had mine today. Everything looked good which was a huge relief. But I had had a small nodule/bump thing on my nose that they called something (can't remember) and even though she was not worried about it (I've had it for probably 10 years?) I've been wanting to get it removed. Well I did today! I figured I might as well do it now while we're all wearing masks so it'll cover the bandage. Tomorrow i can wear a regular small band-aid so that'll be a lot less obvious. 🤪 Of course they sent the bump off to be biopsied to be sure it was nothing. Fingers crossed.

As promised, pics of the back and side-ish. My ha As promised, pics of the back and side-ish. My hairdresser didn't want to shave the back so she scissor-cut it very close to the head. Then she wouldn't buzz the ears because of the ear angle, yada yada yada... If I can envision it I can pretty much make it happen. So I buzzed the back and ears and never had to touch the angle at the ears and I'm happy. Mission complete>>>on to the next project.

So...I did a thing. I got my hair cut last week a So...I did a thing. I got my hair cut last week and it wasn't quite what I had envisioned so I did what every other normal person would do - I grabbed the scissors and started chopping. Ok, maybe not what any normal person would do but I consider myself a closet hairdresser. I mean, I cut both daughters hair, my hubby's hair, my daughter's boyfriend's hair and even my own hair so that means I'm qualified, right? Well this cut also involved clippers, too. 😯✂️ Actually, I'm much happier with the new results and I'll try to get one of the kids to snap a pic of the back tomorrow.
Have you ever cut your own hair? Would you try it?

I just started needle felting and these are two of I just started needle felting and these are two of my completed projects. Needle felting is quite interesting. As much as I like it I find it kind of nerve-racking, too. Getting a blob of wool to react to my stabbing and then turn into an actual figure is almost anxiety producing at this point. Hopefully my insecurities will diminish as I become more experienced with it. Have you ever tried needle felting? 🐀🐑
