June’s First Friday Faves are:
- Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara
- Nutri Ninja Blender/Food Processor with Auto-IQ
- Reebok Socks
My first fave for June is a mascara I’ve been using for about 3+ years. Let me tell you the three most important things I look for in a mascara. First of all, it has to be waterproof. This mascara really stays put! Water will not make it budge. My eyes have a tendency to water when my allergies act up and I never have to worry if my mascara is running. As a matter of fact, when people want to know a good mascara to wear to weddings and funerals, I always recommend the Lash Sensational Waterproof.

Secondly, the mascara has to hold a curl. I was not blessed with lashes that curl, well maybe in my younger days but now they are pretty

Lastly, it can’t give me raccoon eyes! It is so frustrating when you’re out somewhere and when you finally go to check your makeup you look like you should be out raiding trash cans not doing what you’re doing. And it doesn’t flake or leave crumbs on your cheeks. It’s also very good at resisting clumps. If I do get a clump which is rare I use my metal eyelash comb to run through it. Lash Sensational is pretty liquidy, but not so wet that it’ll get all over your eyelids before it dries. This helps to combat the clumps other drier mascaras may deliver.

The only negative, which is actually the first positive I mentioned, is that because it stays on so well it can be pretty tough to remove. There is only one makeup remover that I’ve found to take this stuff off without ripping my eyelashes out. You can read about that fave here. You will definitely need a
Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara is pretty inexpensive, too. It costs around $8 – $10 depending on where you buy it. I usually pick it up at Target or Walmart so it’s readily available.
My second fave is a must have in the kitchen
My second favorite is something I use every week. Not daily but a couple of times a week which makes it something I couldn’t live without. I’m talking about the Nutri Ninja Blender/Food Processor with Auto-IQ. My particular model comes with the blender attachment, food processor attachment and two cups for smoothies or liquids.

I use this to make my smoothies and it works great at crushing up the ice and frozen fruits. No more big chunks for me! It delivers a smooth textured smoothie which is what I was looking for when I bought it. The food processor has an 8 cup capacity bowl and does a great job at crushing cookies for recipes as well as chopping and mixing other ingredients to save you time and hassle.
One of the biggest changes for me was the blender. I went from a heavy glass jarred blender that had trouble grinding through ice cubes to a roomy light plastic jarred machine that slices through ice like buttah. Caution because these blades are sharp!

The machine itself is pretty loud, especially when making smoothies but what do you expect? It’s grinding ice! There are multiple speed settings, some geared towards specific purposes depending on which product is attached to the base. The base itself has rubber grippies that help the machine stay put while using it. Mine get dusty and it moves a bit but I just wipe them clean and they’re fine. It’s not the cheapest kitchen gadget out there but I believe it’s worth every penny.
My third fave for june…
My third favorite item this month are actually items, plural. Reebok has some of the comfiest socks on the market! I found them at Ross Dress for Less a while back for around $5 or $6 for 6 pairs. While I knew they felt soft in the packaging I could not get over how cushion-y they were on my feet. It seriously felt like I was walking on a cloud. I typically wear these when I’m power walking or around the house in the summer after I slather my feet with the best foot lotion ever.

They are super comfy and keep their shape well throughout the day. I have them in low-cut and ankle-cut and like the fit and feel of both. Reebok sells different kinds of socks and some have a thinner weight to them. I would recommend buying them in person so that you can feel them first. Your feet will definitely thank you.
