I’m doing things a little differently this month. Instead of my typical faves, I’m going to list the top 3 products I worried I wouldn’t be able to find during the quarantine.

- Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim Defining Eyebrow Pencil
- Cottonelle® Ultra CleanCare® Toilet Paper
- Lysol® Laundry Sanitizer
My first June fave that I didn’t want to be without during our ‘lockdown’ was my Brow Ultra Slim Defining Eyebrow Pencil from Maybelline New York. This has been my favorite eyebrow product for at least a year or two, and maybe longer. It has been repackaged but I’m not sure if the actual product has changed. I use the color “Blonde”. The pencil itself used to be dark with a blonde cap but now the pencil is blonde with a black cap. Your pencil color will depend on the product color you choose.

Brows are my least favorite part of my face to work on. My brows are so sparse and have no definitive shape. I remember doing my mom’s makeup years ago and seeing her sparse, barely-there brows. Now that’s me! What I like about this pencil is the formula because it isn’t super waxy and applies nicely on well-prepped skin. I’m able to create brows even though I don’t have much to work with. I do prefer to use over brows prepped with foundation because I like the color payoff better than when used on bare skin. Plus I think it provides a cleaner look.

The Brow Ultra Slim Defining Eyebrow Pencil comes in eight shades, from Light Blonde to Black. They have a 1.5mm tip which is easily raised and lowered by turning the top and the formula is supposed to be break-resistant (woohoo!). The other end of the pencil contains a spoolie brush. This is not a wood pencil that needs to be sharpened. The only complaint I have about the formula is that it is not transfer proof. One day my sunglasses were against my head and I realized they had rubbed the inner part of each brow off. Not good. Even so I still love this product and made sure to stock up over our lockdown.
My second june fave…
My second favorite quarantine product is an interesting one, Cottonelle toilet paper. You know how the toilet paper shortage occurred when this whole Corona Virus outbreak started well, luckily I had already bought two huge packs beforehand. I was even able to score a big pack a couple weeks ago at Walmart! Having three women in the house means we go through a lot of toilet paper! Well this is my favorite!

I am not the type of person who wants to use one-ply tp. That’s reserved for store bathrooms in my opinion. But I also don’t like using what feels like towels either. Charmin I’m looking at you. You see, I grew up on Charmin and my whole bathroom had a covering of toilet paper fuzz which accumulated daily it seems. I swore I wouldn’t use it when I became a homeowner, and I don’t. I’ve gone through different types of toilet paper in my twenty-seven years of homeownership and Cottonelle Ultra CleanCare is my favorite.

It’s soft but doesn’t cover the bathroom in a fluffy layer of fuzz. It’s strong but not a toilet clogger and it doesn’t leave tp debris on your lady parts. This makes it perfect in my book. I know toilet paper is a very personal choice but if you have any issues with bathroom fuzz or lady part debris you should try the Cottonelle Ultra CleanCare.
June’s third fave…
June’s third favorite and the product that I did just actually run out of and can’t find is Lysol Laundry Sanitizer. I remember picking up a bottle right before the quarantine. I usually buy the small bottle but contemplated on grabbing the bigger one but stuck with the smaller. Bad choice. I ran out! And everyone else must use this stuff, too because I haven’t seen it in any store I’ve looked at.

What I love about the Lysol Laundry Sanitizer is that I can feel confident about the fact that my towels are being sanitized but I don’t have to worry about my colors fading. Before, I was using bleach which was killing my towels. Besides turning them funky colors my towels would mysteriously end up with holes which I blamed on the bleach. I don’t have that issue with this sanitizer.

The sanitizer comes in two varieties, the regular sanitizer and Free and Clear for those looking for a fragrance-free option. I’ve only ever used the regular version. I enjoy the crisp linen scent and my daughter who suffers from eczema has not had any reactions to it. To use I simply add a capful or so to the fabric softener compartment of my washing machine and let it do its thing during the rinse cycle. It’s so nice to not have to worry about any splashes ruining whatever I’m wearing! This laundry sanitizer is a great alternative to bleach especially if you are tired of the cons associated with bleach.
So these are the three products I didn’t want to be without during our Corona virus lockdown. Have you used any of them?
