Holiday Gift Ideas for Teen Girls and Young Women – 2018

Lifestyle

Can you believe that Christmas is right around the corner?  Have you started shopping for everyone on your list?  Are you having a hard time figuring out what to get your loved ones?  Well you’re in luck.  This list is the first in a four part series in which I’ll give ideas on what to get those loved ones that are hard to buy for.  Today we’re going to go over ideas for teens and young women on your list.  The other three days will focus on teen and young men, women and men.

holiday gift ideas young women

Field and Stream Cozy Cabin Socks

cabin socks

My girls love comfy socks and these Cozy Cabin Socks from Field and Stream are awesome!  They are so plush and cushy and keep feet toasty warm.  They come in a variety of colors and patterns and are BOGO right now at Dick’s Sporting Goods.  ($12.99 each)

The Big One® Supersoft Plush Throw

Speaking of comfy, who doesn’t love a nice soft, plush blanket to curl up with on cold winter nights?  I’ve had soft blankets before and thought they were great until I washed and dried them only to have them become tough and lose their plushness.  These blankets are not like those.

plush throw

The Big One® Supersoft Plush Throw from Kohl’s is one of my favorite blankets out there.  It is super soft, large enough to cover you without your toes peeking out and washes up like a dream!  Look for it on Black Friday because they usually run it on special (Rumor has it, you’ll find it for $8.99).  Bonus points for all of the cute, trendy and traditional designs. (Regular price is $39.99 but they are almost always on sale)

Fancii LED Lighted Makeup Mirror

light up mirror

One thing my daughter can not live without is her lighted makeup mirror.  She prefers to put her makeup on in her bedroom so when hers died we had to find a replacement and this is the one we went with.  If you have a makeup lover on your list this would be perfect.  The mirror, which swivels, is large enough to see your entire face while not taking up too much space.  You can store makeup, tools or hair accessories in the little compartments that make up the base.  It uses four AA batteries or a USB cord and turns off after 30 minutes.  You can find it on Amazon here.  ($33.99)

Morphe

Another product for the makeup lover on your list is The Morphe Fall Into Frost Eyeshadow Palette.  Thirty five gorgeous shades in one huge palette, it’s a eyeshadow lover’s dream!  There are 28 metallic shimmers and 7 matte shades for tons of different looks.  ($24)

Le Revé by L’ange Hair

le reve blush

I’m not going to lie.  I want one of these Le Revé straighteners from L’ange Hair – BAD!  I’ve watched lots of video tutorials from hair gurus using this and I’ve been wanting one forever.  My teens are into straightening their hair and occasionally want curls and this tool will do both!  My favorite thing about L’ange Hair right now is the holiday sale on their website.  Not only are the tools on sale but almost every styling product is on sale for $9.00!  This sale is for a limited time and while supplies last.

Purpose Jewelry

purpose jewelry

Jewelry is a popular gift at Christmas time so how about giving twice?  When you purchase a piece of handmade jewelry from Purpose you are not only giving a gift to your loved one but you are also helping woman and girls escaping from human trafficking.  Each piece is handcrafted by someone who has been a victim.  Your purchase (100% of it!) contributes to their recovery by providing income, education and support helping to empower them during this time.  The gorgeous piece above, the Ava Necklace is part of the Hope Line. ($22)

Starbucks Drinkware

iridescent cold cup

For the coffee /frappacino/latte lover on the list you can’t go wrong with one of these sippers from Starbucks.  The first is a gorgeous iridescent cold cup.  Who wouldn’t want to sip out of this 24oz beauty? ($18.95)

red glitter stainless

If warm beverages are more her thing then try this 16 oz Red Glitter Ombré Stainless Steel Tumbler. ($19.95)  These and more can be found at your local Starbucks store.

Vans Classic Checkerboard Slip-Ons

vans checkerboard slipons

Sometimes shopping for a fashionista can be tricky.  For those who like to hang out in style and prefer things a little casual you can’t go wrong with a pair of Vans Classic Checkerboard Slip-Ons.  There are lots of colors to choose from like Dark Cheddar, Hot Sauce and Frappé but these are my favorite!  (Grisaille/True White – $50.00)

Pink Sherpa Lined Campus Cowl Neck Sweatshirt

pink sweatshirt

I don’t think I know any young woman who doesn’t love Pink!  You seriously can’t go wrong with anything from the Pink store but this Sherpa Lined Campus Cowl Neck Sweatshirt ($59.95) is a definite winner.  It screams COMFY!  Best of all, it comes in five colors.  And while you’re browsing everything Pink has to offer, don’t forget to pick up a couple fragrances.  Pink Warm & Cozy is a favorite with Pink Fresh & Clean coming in second.  (Fragrances regularly $16.50)

iPhone 8 Plus

iphone 8 plus

Teen techies know what they want and they want an iPhone.  If you don’t want to shell out major bucks for the newest one check out the iPhone 8 plus.  The 8 plus may not have the bells and whistles that the XS Max does but are those differences really worth the extra cost?  The 8 plus is still a great phone and definitely worth a look.  You can pick up a 64 GB unlocked version for $699.

Apple Airpods

apple airpods

While you’re checking out the iPhones you may want to grab a pair of Apple Airpods, too.  Remember how everyone freaked out when Apple took the headphone jack off the iPhone?  Well no one is freaking out anymore.  Nowadays Airpods are as normal as regular earbuds and everybody wants them.  Look for them on Black Friday but don’t overlook them.  The kiddos will need them if they want to listen to their favorite Youtuber without disturbing everyone else. ($159)

HP Sprocket 2nd Edition

hp sprocket

Gadget gurus won’t want to stop printing pics on their new HP Sprocket Portable Printer.  The new Sprocket not only prints pics taken by one connected device but up to three additional connections!  Party anyone?  You don’t have to worry about ink because the picture is transferred onto thermal paper which is sticky on one side.  While picture quality isn’t what you’d get from a traditional full sized printer it’s still a fun gadget to have when hanging out somewhere special with friends. (Retails for $129)

Crayola® Signature Brush and Detail Dual-Tip Markers

crayola dual tip markers

Whether you know someone who likes to doodle, color or journal creatively these dual tip markers from Crayola will fit the bill.  16 markers with dual tips and 32 colors so they’re free to create whatever they want.  And they come in a cute tin so you won’t lose them.

Journal

journal

For those dealing with anxiety or wanting to write to release stress or someone who enjoys capturing their thoughts and ideas as a sort of diary, a self exploration journal is a wonderful gift.  This one by Meera Lee Patel is not only gorgeous because of the artwork and handlettering but prompts the reader to become interactive in an inspiring and reflective way.

I hope you’ve gotten some good gift ideas from the list.  Remember that if you’re still unsure about what to get the person who has everything, gift cards are OKAY.  Most importantly, don’t stress over your gift choices because as the old saying goes, “It’s the thought that counts”.
